GRF200 – Logo Design Workshop
How often are we asked to design logos for our clients? Our customers cannot always afford to pay for outside graphic design services, so the logos we create to use in their ads many times ends up on their signage and business cards.  The first part of this session will teach proper usage of artwork and typography to create and enhance logos.  The second half of the session will be a workshop where you will be able to create a logo or two and practice what you learned. (2 hours)

GRF201 – Layout and Design
Good layout and design is more than knowing how to use the software; it’s knowing the fundamentals of good design.  This session will challenge you to look at your designs from the reader’s perspective and will teach you more tricks and skills to put in your creative toolbox.  (2 hours)

GRF202 – What Makes a Great Ad?
Your design often must be in black and white (and shades of gray) rather than color, and many times cannot utilize photos. Concentrate on dynamic balance and contrast to attract and keep your reader's attention. Illustrations, typeface selection, reverses, screens, rules, active white space – these are essential design principles for an effective ad!  Discover ways to make your ads leap off the page! (2 hours)

GRF203 – Successful Imagery In Ads
As a graphics professional you are challenged to make sure your ads look good, but  often you have to settle for less than perfect images supplied by the customer.  You will learn how Imagery and photography can be executed successfully in ads. (2 hours)

GRF207 – Photography Skills
Want to make your photos more interesting? From the action news/sports photo to the typical “grip and grin,” learn how to set up, crop and present photos in their most interesting manner.
